On Saturday, 21 May, our catering team were a part of the 2016 Hummingbird House, House Warming Gala event, catering for over 600 guests in celebration of the opening of Queensland’s only children’s hospice.
Designed by our team of chefs, the menu centered around the idea of a ‘house warming’ party, whilst maintaining a ‘black tie’ experience and style. At the forefront of this idea were the elements reflecting a classic Queensland backyard barbecue, accompanied by a deconstructed pavlova sharing platter for each table.
When all was done, the charity, with the assistance of sponsors including Wine & dine’m Catering, raised over $215,000 to assist with funding for the house that will provide care and respite to more than 3,700 Queensland children affected by a life-limiting condition, when it opens later this year.
Please visit their website here, and we will also keep you informed for details for next year’s gala.
