If your wedding was cancelled or postponed last year, you’re not alone. Many couples married in smaller “micro-wedding” style, postponing full-size celebrations until 2021 or beyond, while others simply downsized their events altogether, and still, others opted for an elopement.
No matter how you’ve chosen to handle your plans, you can still make the most of your wedding. Our team are always available to help our newly engaged couples to reduce the stress of planning and end get the most out of the process. We outline some of our top tips for you to consider when planning your day.
“The food and service provided by Wine & Dine’m for our wedding was unbelievable. It was difficult trying to postpone everything and change dates but you made it easy. I appreciated every bit of advice and support.” Jamie & Taylor, March 2021
Wear something you love.
Wedding fashion has evolved over the years and you can now wear whatever you want. Gone are the traditional white, long lace dresses – replaced with bold colours, pant suits and even matching outfits. Whatever your style, wear something that makes you feel amazing and confident. Whether it’s a dream skirt and headpiece like the ones featured above, or a pair of shoes, make sure you feel special and glow on the big day!
HAVE SOMEONE TAKE PICTURES.
With all the upheaval of 2020 and the stress that weddings naturally bring, you’re bound to forget something. But don’t forget to have someone capture your special moment. Call your friend who has a nice camera or one of our favourite photographers, and make sure someone is there to get it all on film too!
YOU CAN STILL HAVE AMAZING FOOD.
Just because you haven’t booked your venue a year in advance doesn’t mean you can’t have amazing food. We work with a range of different venues and are able to cater to almost any location, so whatever type of food you can imagine we’re here to help you create the menu of your dreams.
“We used Wine & Dine’m and it was the best decision we ever made. From the food tasting and all the communication in the lead-up, they couldn’t have been more helpful. Our guests raved about how good the canapés and shared dining experience was but more importantly just how much of it there was to go around. They even put together little boxes for the bridal party during our photos so we didn’t miss out”. Lisa & Chris – February 2021
You can rely on our incredibly high food safety standards and precautions to keep your guests well fed and comfortable. All our menus have been adapted and are COVID-19 friendly. Take a look at our wedding menus to see the amazing food options we are offering couples right now.
MAKE THE MOST OF A DOWNSIZED WEDDING ON A FULL-SIZE BUDGET.
With fewer guests, you may be looking forward to saving some money on your wedding, but consider spending some of the leftover funds on small luxuries that make a big difference. An elevated menu or a luxurious lounge area at your backyard celebration can make your event more memorable, even if you can’t have all of your guests there.
Over the past 22 years we have seen weddings in all shapes and sizes. But at the end of the day, what makes any wedding worth celebrating remains the same: love. Be sure to check out all our menus to see how we can make your small wedding extra delicious.
