MARRY NOW. PARTY LATER.
How people will marry in 2020 and beyond will evolve. Many of the adjustments we have seen over the last few months are here to stay.
‘Love and celebrations are not cancelled. We are telling couples to Marry now, party later.’’ says Ammie Watts, General Manager at Wine & Dine ’m Catering.
Around the world, couples have rescheduled their weddings and it has been no different for our clients. ‘It is not emotionally healthy to keep postponing weddings. We all need something to look forward to and celebrate. When couples have been unsure about committing, we have worked with them to ensure they are safe and happy with the outcome.” Ammie said.
‘With a hunger to connect with friends and family following months of isolation, we have found couples are looking for more ways to involve their closest friends and family members.’ Ammie said. ‘There will be more room for standing, socially distance seating, and seating plans ensure family members are seated with one another’
Ammie anticipates couples and guests will have a greater focus on health and safety. Hand-sanitizing stations (and sanitizers as bonbonnieres), numerous dance areas and bars, and several smaller celebrations are expected.
‘We have adapted our menus and service style to address COVID changes and compliance whilst ensuring our service and quality is enjoyed by all guests.’ Ammie said.
Couples will still be able to select from our canapes, seated and shared dining menu options with appropriate suggestions as times continue to change.
‘We previously would plate one dish per 4-8 guests when serving our shared dining experience, and we have now adapted to accommodate social distancing requirements to serve one dish per 3-4 guests. We would also encourage that those of the same households are seated on the same table’.
We are even still able to set up our grazing tables (minus all of the hands!) by assigning an extra waiter to be able to stand by and serve people their selections individually. “We want to make your experience to be exactly the way you wanted it, your dream wedding shouldn’t be replaced”
Whatever the size and style of your wedding celebration, one thing is for sure social distancing will be the two most popular words (besides ‘I do’) in 2021.
